Internal Calibration You won't have to worry about buying calibration weights for this precision scale. This A&D balance has internal calibration that uses internal weights for calibration. If you still want to calibrate it the old fashioned way, you can do that too. You'll just need to pick up a 500 gram calibration weight (not included) to get the job done.
Fast & Accurate With Magnetic Force Restoration This balance is equipped with magnetic force restoration, or electro-magnetic force, to provide super fast, accurate and repeatable measurements.
Programmable Auto Off Feature If you've ever have your scale turn off on you in the middle of important measurements, you'll realize what a blessing this feature is. You can program the FZ-i to turn off automatically after about 10 minutes of inactivity, or to stay on until you turn it off yourself.

Weighing Hook Sometimes the thing you need to weigh just won't fit on the scale's platform. Now that's a problem for most scales, but not the A&D FZ 500i. This scale has a weighing hook built right into the bottom. This hook works by pulling on the weighing platform when you hang an item from it, just like if you were to put an item on top of the platform. Just uncover the hook, and hang your item from it to weigh.
Tare Feature The tare button on the front of this digital scale can be pressed to "zero out" the weight on the scale. You can then add more weight, and the display will only show the weight of the items you're adding. This sure is useful when you want to use an expansion scoop to weigh your things, or if you want to get separate weights of multiple items.
Liquid Level Indicator This very handy feature will help you quickly and easily get your scale nice and level. A level scale is important for getting the most accurate weight readings.
