Before ya start counting your pieces, ya need to let the scale know how much each piece weighs. Detecto made this simple by averaging the weight of the pieces ya put on the scale. Just type in how many pieces are on the scale, and the CS-6 will average the weights. The bigger your sample is, the more accurate the scale will be when counting your pieces. You can also turn this feature off if ya want to manually calibrate the scale based on your sample.
The tare button on the front of the Detecto CS6 can be pressed to "zero out" the weight on the scale. You can then add more weight, and the display will only show the weight of the items you're adding. This sure is useful when ya want to fill a container, or use a tray or basket to weigh your items. You can also tell the scale how much your container weighs before ya put it on the scale. That's helpful of you're measuring things already in a container.
You can set a weight or quantity limit on the CS6 to help batch inventory. Just set the limit and the scale will let ya know when you've gone over with a beep.
