Useful Weighing Bowl The CJ600 includes a weighing bowl for all those tough weighing jobs that require a container. The bowl holds approximately 750 milliliters, and is 8.4 inches by 6 inches. This bowl can also double as a dust cover for the scale when it's not in use.
Auto-Off Feature If ya have ever had the batteries in something run out because you forgot to turn it off, you'll realize what a blessing this feature is. The CJ-600 will automatically turn off after a few moments of inactivity.
Bright Backlit Display This table top scale has a fancy backlit display to help ya see your weight readings, even in dim lighting. Not only that! This digital scale's display will tell ya if ya pressed the tare button, and the unit you're weighing with.
Does This Thing Count? You bet it does! All ya need to do is weigh a sample amount of pieces, so the scale can know how much each piece weighs, then start counting. You'll be finished in no time.
Tare Feature The tare button on the front of this diet scale can be pressed to "zero out" the weight on the scale. You can then add more weight, and the display will only show the weight of the item you're adding. This sure is useful when ya want to get the weight of each ingredient for that delicious recipe.
Stainless Steel Platform This compact digital scale has a durable stainless steel weighing platform to make cleanup a breeze. Unlike gold or silver, stainless steel doesn't scratch easily and keeps its shine without rusting or tarnishing.
It Remembers The Last Unit Ya Used If your application needs weights in the same unit of measurement, (like ounces for instance), it can be a real pain if your scale always turns on ready to weigh in grams. The CJ600 turns on displaying the same unit of measurement you were using when ya turned it off.
Easy Calibration This scale comes factory calibrated and ready to use. Just in case ya need to calibrate it, the CJ600 comes with easy to follow calibration instructions. You'll just need to pick up a 600 gram calibration weight to get the job done.
Kill Those Vibrations With VibraKill® Did ya know that vibrations can cause a scale's reading to bounce around from one weight to another? Included with this digital scale is a VibraKill® Pad to keep vibrations, (caused by everyday items like, your fridge, nearby music, your washing machine, etc...) from messing up your weighing.
20 YEAR MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY! If ya have a problem with this scale, just send it to Jennings' warranty center in Phoenix, Arizona. They'll fix or replace your scale and send it on its way back to ya within a week of receiving it. You should expect your replacement to arrive in about two to three weeks from the day you send the original off. Keep in mind that sometimes Jennings runs out of stock, which can cause a delay in the warranty replacement process.

Seems to be very well built and accurate. Easy to use, also like the included tray. Nice stuff WillReviewed by: Thomas Kletzok from Oregon on (10/13/2015)
Just the scale for my needs; the "scale finder" works great!Reviewed by: Mark Combs from Oregon on (7/18/2015)
I have now used this scale for a month. Very happy with the purchase. Purchase was easy with good guidance from the young lady sales person who took my telephone call. I had just sent back a scale purchased from another company, defective so I was nervous if OldWillKnotts would also prove to be a disappointing vendor. On the contrary. The website is friendly, the staff is friendly. The scale works perfectly!! This is what I needed to weigh coffee beans for my grinder. Purchased scale arrived quickly, well wrapped. High marks to this company!!Reviewed by: Barbara Passman from Chicago IL on (6/25/2015)
Size, back-lit display, buttons, cover all work well for my small job. I had no idea which model to buy but after a phone conversation and very fast service the JC-600 table top scale arrived. I am now on to photo printing!Reviewed by: Ellen Martin from Lexington, VA on (3/3/2015)
Very Nice!!Reviewed by: Eleanor Crumpton from Springdale on (12/2/2014)
I’ve had the CJ-600 for a few weeks and it exceeds my expectations. I tested it with the 500g calibration weight and it read 500.0. The backlight is very good and cleverly knows when to turn on and off. The readings are immediate and repeatable. The tare (zeroing) feature is so easy to use, very valuable - same for selecting units (grams, ounces, etc). What was my last task? I found out the specific gravity of my coffee beans (0.36 for those who are interested).Reviewed by: Arthur from Kew Gardens, NY on (10/23/2014)
So far, I'm in absolute heaven with this scale! I use it for my Amazon business (where I have to count small items), and it works like a charm. This is my first "counting scale" (up till now I'd been weighing a quantity of an item, jotting down the total weight, and using that as my benchmark for other units that I prepare... crazy, I know), so I probably would have been over the moon no matter what kind of counting scale I bought (even moldy bread is a banquet to a starving man). That said, I really don't think I could have been happier if I'd bought a scale at 10 times the price. The display is very easy to read, set up takes mere seconds, and the accuracy is all that I could ask for (though I should mention that I could really care less what the absolute weight of an item is, so long at it counts accurately). There is also a very minimal lag time between putting something on the scale and getting a reading. I also like the molded cover it came with. One could use it as a parts tray of course, but what I really like about it is how it protects the scale from getting banged around when not in use. Nice. All that remains to be seen is the longevity of the scale. I see a few other reviews which indicate it stopped functioning after a while, so we'll see. Though to be fair, at the price I paid if it lasted 9 months I'd buy another one immediately and feel as if I got my money's worth. If it breaks after a bit, I'll try to return here to amend this review. Just a quick word about Old Will's site here... I'm glad I bought my scale from this company. The scale came quickly and they followed up with an email to ensure everything was OK. The site was also well set up, which made it easy to find what I was looking for. The product descriptions were well done also (though I have to say, the constant use of the slang "ya", while quaint for the first product I looked at, quickly wore out it's welcome by the time I made my purchase).Reviewed by: Michael D from Long Island NY on (3/31/2014)
I have been using the CJ-600 for over three years now. I use it in my home food/beverage lab, and in bars and restaurants I work with. When you need to be accurate down to 1/10th of a gram, this is the scale to use. It is small, light, and extremely accurate. I check the accuracy occasionally with a 500 gram weight as recommended and it is always within 1/10th gm. It is also very easy to recalibrate using a 500 gram wieght. I have purchased one of these for each of the bars I consult to.Reviewed by: Jonathan M. Forester from NY City on (12/3/2013)
The scale worked well for several months, however it eventually lost its ability to hold a center. The scale now fluctuates from 0 by half a gram or so. There are no drafts or vibrations in the room and I have been careful not to place any objects heavier than 600 grams on it.Reviewed by: Josh from USA on (9/18/2013)
It's a home use scale for me. I previously had a CJ-300 but after several years of use I decided to buy the CJ-600 so I could measure up to a pound. I found it extremely accurate and just used it to measure powdered die at 1 gram. I recommend buying the AC adapter.Reviewed by: Lee Davenport from Hacienda Heights, CA on (6/10/2013)
I purchased this scale to weigh my yarn for knitting. It has a large enough platform to fit most balls of yarn and the tray works well if the yarn happens to be too large for the platform. The only thing I've noticed is sometimes it takes a while to settle on a number. It fluctuates up and down 2-4 tenths of a gram for quite a while before it finally settles on a weight. Sometimes it will be off a tenth of a gram. If I remove the object & weigh it again, it weighs differently. I've done it with the calibration weight also (weighing, removing, immediately re-weighing) & it will be 499.9 one time & exactly 500 the next. It seems fine so far for my needs, though.Reviewed by: Kirsten from Colorado, USA on (5/9/2013)
I have purchased four of these types of jennings scales so far; the cj300, 2-cj600, and most recently a cj4000. The 600 is the one i use most frequently, with many hours spent weighing every day. The only weakness I've found is that after about 3-4 months of daily use, the tare button wears out and becomes inoperable, forcing me to turn the scale off and on every time I need to change the weighing container. This has now happened on both of the model 600 that I have purchased(it is the reason i bought the second one actually, when the tare button wore out on first one), so it seems to be a bit of a weak spot. The scales themselves still operate just fine, but not having a tare button becomes quite inconvenient. But for the price, and the amount of use I have gotten from them, I am overall pretty satisfied.Reviewed by: Levi from oregon on (1/19/2013)
I tend to be very picky about the quality of the items that I purchase. That being said I can honestly say that I am completely satisfied with my purchase of this scale. It has all of the features that I needed (0.1 gram resolution, backlit display, stainless steel weighing surface). It's also large enough for what I use it for (weighing herbs). I also purchased the optional power supply as well as the calibration weight (had not found the need to calibrate as of yet - when I received the scale I weighed a nickel which was spot on 5 grams as well as the 500g calibration weight which also weighed spot on. The accuracy and repeatability of this scale is awesome. Just make sure with any scale to let it acclimate to the temperature of the room you will be using it in for improved results. I also really appreciate the great communication of Oldwillknots.com. This is definitely the first place I will come to when purchasing another scale.Reviewed by: Tommy John from Sacramento, CA on (12/20/2012)
I was looking for a scale that would reliably measure to the 0.1 gram for the use of measuring dye for wood working stains. A lot of the other scales I had been reading from other site did not have a good track record, return policy and warranty period. I came across Old Will's and like what I was reading with regards to favorable reviews, Good warranty and reliable scales. The service was great. I was kept informed along the way on the product being shipped and then tracking the progress on Old Will's site. It was delivered inside of the week (4 days). I purchased the 500 gram calibration weight just in case and I'm glad I did. Though the instructions say it calibrated before shipping, two nickles I was testing with were varying between 4.9 and 5.1 grams and the 500 gram weight was consistently reading 501.3 grams. I used the calibration weight and followed the instructions, which were easy to understand, and it calibrated just fine. Now the weight gives a consistent 500 gram reading and the nickels are consistent on their readings (one always says 4.9 and the other 5.0). I have not used a lot so far but feel confident this was a good buy. So far, very nice scale. Easy to use, seems high quality and accurate. As described and I am very happy with it.Reviewed by: Bill Tobler from Lake Jackson, TX on (8/21/2012)
I love these scales and for the money they are the best. I have the CJ300 and bought the CJ600 with adapter that fits both. I highly recommend the adapter as this saves on battery life. These scales are very acurate as I use mine to weigh and sell my sterling jewelry which is why I came back two years later to buy the CJ600 to weigh the heavier pieces. With ther CJ600 came a cover which I use to hold my jewelry when weighing. I also use the CJ300 for weighing food. So many uses for these scales. These scales are easy to use and hassle free. Old Will Knott Scales service for shipping is fast and excellent. Thank you.Reviewed by: Sharie C. from Littleton, CO. on (4/15/2012)
I really didn't expect much when I purchased this scale but it turned out to be everything I needed. The quality of construction, accuracy, features are all superb. I highly recommend this scale if you need very accurate and repeatable measurements, it won't let you down.Reviewed by: Russell Johnson from Oklahoma on (3/20/2012)

A: Hi there KG,
The error message of "Out -0" describes a load cell problem. You can calibrate it according to the the instructions in the manual and if that doesn't clear the error, you can send it back in under the manufacturer's warranty.
A: Hey there Kathleen,
The CJ600 will be able to read two places to the right of the decimal point in ounces, so you can see weight readings of 5.25 and 3.23 oz, etc. However, the maximum capacity is only 1 lb, 5.16 oz. It will not go any higher, so you may want to look at this scale instead: http://www.oldwillknottscales.com/taylor-3875.html.
It has a max capacity of 6.6 lbs and it has two weighing modes: Pounds: Ounces and Grams. It will still read two places to the right of the decimal in ounces and it will give you a weight reading in pounds, too.
Let us know if you have any other questions.
A: Hey there Dhan,
If you're asking what voltage the scale uses, it's 4.5 Volts DC.
The 4.5 V AC adapter basically changes the voltage from alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC). The power coming from the outlet is considered alternating current; a form of voltage that the scale can not use. The adapter basically "adapts" the voltage to a form the scale can use, which in this case is DC or direct current.
