    The tare button on this digital shipping scale's weight display can be pressed to "zero out" the weight on the scale. You can then add more weight, and the display will only show the weight of the items you're adding. BEST OF THE BEST
After being infuriated at(or disappointed in) every single talking scale for people that's on the market, I ordered this shipping scale. My mother has macular degeneration and balance problems, so weighing her was always a 2-person operation. This scale is beyond perfect; accurate, large platform area, clear voice without accent, very readable backlight. I'd recommend it to anyone without hesitation, and plan to say that in all the low-vision websites I can find.
