An old school balance with great old school quality

- Three Attachment Weights
|Mode: Grams||Capacity: 2610 g||Resolution: 0.1 g|
Tiered Weighing Beams When ya need to read three different beams to get your weights, it can be a real pain if they're in front of one another. This triple beam balance was designed with beams that stair step for easy readings...the beams are even notched to keep your weight readings in place.
Stainless Steel Platform This mechanical scale has a durable stainless steel weighing platform to make cleanup a breeze. Unlike gold or silver, stainless steel doesn't scratch easily and keeps its shine without rusting or tarnishing.
Magnetic Damping You don't have to worry about this balance bouncing around taking forever to stabilize. My Weigh was smart with this 3 beam and designed it with a magnetic damping system to make weighing and reading your weights quick and painless.
Protective Windscreen When you're weighing with high precision scales like this one, even the tiniest breeze can interfere with weight readings. This My Weigh scale comes with a durable, glass windscreen to keep out those pesky drafts. Oh, and don't worry, this scale makes it easy to put your items on, or take them off, the platform. The top and sides slide all the way back.
30 YEAR MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY! If ya have a problem with this scale, just send it to MyWeigh's warranty center in Phoenix, Arizona. They'll fix or replace your scale and send it on its way back to ya within a week of receiving it. You should expect your replacement to arrive in about two to three weeks from the day you send the original off. Keep in mind that sometimes MyWeigh runs out of stock, which can cause a delay in the warranty replacement process.

Bought these to weigh botanicals for extracts. It is real nice & easy to use. A Christmas gift for my husband, he really likes it & said it is comparable to Ohaus scales he had in the seventies!Reviewed by: Staci Mangan from KALAMA on (1/3/2016)

Writing about a scale for me is like talking about a toothbrush. You don't really think about it until it doesn't do the job. I recently purchased a My Weigh triple beam balance scale. Before bought this scale, I looked at many different triple beam balance scales and the choices began to narrow with my 1/10 gram increment and 2000 gram capacity requirement. Why did I choose this one? I was told that the triple beam technology was being replaced with the electronic scale because they were faster, easier to read and could easily convert to different measurements (grams to ounces, etc.). I was told the manufacturers that made the triple beam technology were not supporting their product because the technology is changing to electronics. With all of that, you would think I would be writing about an electric scale, right? But no. I didn't need faster, easier to read and the conversion. I needed simple and reliable. I needed a scale to replace my 12 year old electronic scale that on occasion would start weighing after it zero'd out without something to weigh. Maybe this was the scale's way of saying it needed to be calibrated because it was off 3.5 grams on a 340 gram weight according to the triple beam scale that I purchased. And yes, after many hours of use, this product is reasonably priced and well worth it. It is consistently reliable and easy to use. It doesn't have the craftsmanship and look of an expensive tool that you would display, but that is not reason why I bought it.Reviewed by: JT from California on (7/28/2014)
I like to wait a while to write a review. So, I bought this scale, first because it was affordable. And secondly because it had good reviews. This was several years ago. And I still use it. It is a good scale for the price. Balances well. But the only thing I did not like was the weights. They fell apart. So I had to tape them. I am going to write Old Will and see if they can help. But other than that, I think if you need a good balance beam scale at an affordable price; buy this scale.Reviewed by: Mark Madrazo from Kingsville, Tx on (7/20/2014)
This scale is very accurate. I use it for weighing Epoxy Resin Formulations. You can't beat this price. This scale serves me well.Reviewed by: Vivian from Middleboro Ma on (7/3/2014)
I was looking forward to this purchase as I'm just beginning to get serious about measurements in clay and glazes. Unfortunately, the first scale was broken. The tip on the end beam had broken off. I called the suggested number and the kind person on the other end said that another one would be shipped out soon and that she would personally investigate its condition before mailing. No charge and I didn't have to return the other one. The scale arrived in a few days. It was as it should be and worked fine. I received an email from the person who helped me hoping I was satisfied with their product. Nice customer attention.Reviewed by: thomas from maine on (3/3/2014)
I received fast, courteous service from OldWillKnottScales. For the money this triple beam balance is a wonderful alternative to the more expensive balances. The materials used and the quality of manufacture produce a sensitive balance capable of accurate, repeatable results.Reviewed by: Tim Thompson from Kansas on (2/18/2014)

read the description, that is what you get, works great, no problems, fun to useReviewed by: Richard from oregon on (4/26/2013)
I don't know much about the product, it was a gift. That said, I did help unpack it and set it up. At first I was slightly dissapointed when I saw what they used for counter weight, (lead slugs in the cup), but the giftee quickly told me he's worked with many tripl beam scales and that was normal, so after about 30 minutes of adding and subtracting the percise amount of counter weight the scale worked very well and was very accurate and always retruned to 0 after resetting all weights. This appears to be a very nice scale and Im happy with my purchase and the delivery and packing. I would buy from here again.Reviewed by: John M from New Boston, MI on (12/29/2012)
Excellent quality and warranty. This scale was more than worth the cost.Reviewed by: Kevin from US on (12/27/2012)
Of course it is a beam scale, so no one should be surprised about the accuracy. This scale was packaged very well and is capable of more than I will ever need. I like quality, and I think I have found it.Reviewed by: Jon B. from Colorado on (12/25/2012)
We home school our children and needed a good balance for our chemistry and science labs. The scale arrived quickly and worked right out of the box. The extra attachment weights for measuring over 1 kg have already proved useful.Reviewed by: Mike from Elgin, TX on (9/30/2012)
After buying a $30 electric scale at target that weighed 4 pounds off i threw it in the garbage and bought this scale because it was a balance scale with a cheap price. It is well made and works good so i can measure all my RC aircraft parts with it. It does say made in China on it... oh well.Reviewed by: Scott from Minnesota USA on (8/19/2012)
This scale is very much like the Old School Ohause Triple Beam that some probably stole from their high school and you used except they have the additonal counter weights to weigh in excess of 1 kilo. Easy to work and setup.Reviewed by: Arizona Charlie from Tucson, Arizona on (1/29/2012)
The My Weigh Triple Beam Scale is packaged very securely with a styroam box that stores the scale safely when not in use.I build small, free flight airplanes where weight is critical to performance.I am also impressed with customer service at Will Knott. They have provided an affordable quality instrument! Thank you!Reviewed by: Tim Alexander from 7704 S.W. barnes Road, Unit B on (12/31/2011)
This was precisely what I expected. the frame is lighter than an Ohouse but it cost considerably less as well. The packaging was perfect and the item came in in perfect condition. If I need another scale of any kind, Old Will has earned my further business.Reviewed by: Jason Case from Flint, Michigan on (12/10/2011)

A: Hey there Kenneth,
Yes, you should be able to use the unit in the kitchen and it should arrive with everything you need to use it.
The calibration procedure doesn't require any "calibration weights" per se, you would just add weight to the under-platform for adjustment. I've heard of people using anything from coins to paper clips to ball bearings.
