Advanced AutoCal™ Automatic Internal Calibration You won't have to worry about buying calibration weights for this scientific scale. This Discovery balance has automatic internal calibration that uses two internal weights to calibrate the scale. The Discovery will automatically calibrate with a significant change in temperature, and every 11 hours. This is gonna come in real handy, especially if ya don't like going through the whole . If ya prefer to calibrate the scale manually, you can do that too.

Fast & Accurate With Magnetic Force Restoration This lab balance is equipped with magnetic force restoration, or electro-magnetic force, to provide super fast, accurate and repeatable measurements.
Average Piece Weight Before ya start counting your pieces, ya need to let the DV215CD know how much each piece weighs. Ohaus made this simple by averaging the weight of the pieces ya put on the scale. Just type in how many pieces ya put on the scale, and the scale will average the weights. The bigger your sample is, the more accurate the scale will be when counting your pieces.
Dynamic Weighing This analytical balance has a really cool dynamic weighing feature. This feature allows you to accurately weigh unstable items by calculating the average weight of what's on the platform.
Checkweighing Make sure ya get your weights just right with this scientific scale's check weighing feature. When ya weigh in this mode, you can set weight limits for the stuff you're weighing. So, if your sample weight is too low or too high...the DV-215CD will sure let ya know.
Percent Weighing This feature will let ya compare the weights of your samples against a predetermined reference weight. This can be helpful in weight checking, compounding, formulating and more.
Totalization You can use this feature to repeatedly add the amounts on the scale together. This is a great feature if you need a scale with cumulative weighing for compounding ingredients or check weighing.
Density Determination This analytical balance has four different ways to determine density. You can determine density for solids more dense than water, solids less dense than water, liquid density, and density for porous materials. All ya have to do is enter a couple of parameters into the balance, the built in density table and mass measurement provides rapid and accurate results. No manual calculations needed.
Gross, Net & Tare Weighing When ya weigh in this mode the scale will display the weight of the tared container, the weight of the items in the container, and the total weight of all items on the scale. This can come in real handy for many different applications.
Pipette Calibration With this scale you can even check the accuracy and precision of your pipettes by weight analysis. Just select what liquid you want to test your pipettes with, the barometric pressure, nominal value, and the pipettes' unit of measurement. Once ya set up these parameters, just stand back and let the balance do the rest.

Weighing Hook Sometimes the thing ya need to weigh just won't fit on the scale's platform. Now that's a problem for most scales, but not the Discovery DV215CD. This scale has a weighing hook built right into the bottom. This hook works by pulling on the weighing platform when an item is hanging from it, just like if ya were to put an item on top of the platform. This will come in handy for density determination, gravity calculation, and a lot more.
Tare Feature The tare button on the front of this digital lab scale can be pressed to "zero out" the weight on the scale. You can then add more weight, and the display will only show the weight of the items you're adding. This sure is useful when ya want to use an expansion scoop to weigh your things, or if ya want to get separate weights of multiple items.
Liquid Level Indicator This very handy feature helps you quickly and easily get your scale nice and level. A level scale is important for getting the most accurate weight readings. All ya have to do is twist the feet on the bottom of the scale until the spirit bubble is centered within the level.
