Class III NTEP Approved Legal For Trade The National Conference on Weights and Measures certifies the R71MHD15 Legal for Trade with Certificate of Conformance Number 14-033. So, you can count on getting accurate readings time after time. Perfect for stores and markets where items are sold by weight.
Modular Design The Ohaus Ranger 7000 has a modular design that allows you to separate the display from the base of the scale. The display can also mount on the optional tower. The display "terminal" is attached to the scale base with a long cable that allows the terminal and base to communicate.
SmarText 2.0 Software Thanks to this special software, ya don't have to be a rocket scientist to get this scale working the way ya want it to. The SmarText software will guide ya through the whole setup process with text prompts. After ya have your scale all set up, the software will even guide you through different weighing applications.
Programmable Graphic Display You can program the Ranger 7000 display to fit your needs. Optimize the brightness, set the display to dim when ya want it to and to go to sleep when ya want it to. Don't want it to dim or go to sleep? You can disable those features, too.
RS232 & USB Interfaces The Ranger 7000 has an RS232 port, a USB host port and a USB slave port built right in. Use these to send your weight readings and other data to an external source like a computer or printer.
Programmable Auto Printing Feature This bench scale will automatically print your data for ya! Just tell the Ranger R71MHD15 to continuously send data to the printer, to send it at user selectable intervals, when the balance is stable, or to only send it when ya press the print key. That's pretty handy if ya ask me.
Percent Weighing This feature will let ya compare the weights of your samples against a predetermined reference weight. This can be helpful with recipe formulation and adjusting batch sizes.
Filling This feature can be used to accurately fill samples in comparison with a target weight. Just set your target weight by either weighing a filled sample or keying in your desired weight. Once your target weight is set, you may begin filling. The scale will display the target weight, difference weight, and difference percentage. There's even a progress bar on the display.
Weigh Below Hook Sometimes the thing ya need to weigh just won't fit on the scale's platform. Now that's a problem for most scales, but not the Ranger R71MHD15. This scale has a weighing hook built right into the bottom. This hook works by pulling on the weighing platform when an item is hanging from it, just like if ya were to put an item on top of the platform. This will come in handy for density determination, gravity calculation, and a lot more.
Checkweighing Feature With Programmable Beeper Make sure ya get your weights just right with this bench scale's check weighing feature. When ya weigh in this mode, you can set weight limits for the stuff you're weighing. So, if your sample weight is too low or too high...the Ranger will sure let ya know. You can even program the beeper to let ya know when the weight on the scale is acceptable, under or over your definitions. Don't want to listen to a beep all day? No problem. You can turn the beeper off if ya want to and just use the graphic display.
Density Determination The Ohaus Ranger 7000 has two different ways to determine density. You can determine density for solids more dense than water and solids less dense than water. All ya have to do is enter a few parameters and the built in density table and mass measurement provides rapid and accurate results. No manual calculations needed.
Dynamic Weighing This bench scale has a really cool dynamic weighing feature. This feature allows a to accurately weigh unstable items by calculating the average weight of what's on the platform. Great for animal weighing.
Formulation Use this feature to accurately measure and compound your formulas. Formulations can be named and stored with one to 100 specified components. Each element in your formulation, as well as, the total weight of all elements are displayed at the bottom of the display. After you've added all of your elements, your formulation is complete.
Does This Thing Count? You bet it does! All ya need to do is weigh a sample amount of pieces, so the Ranger can know how much each piece weighs, then start counting. You'll be finished in no time. Counting feature is NOT legal for trade.
Totalization You can use this accumulation feature to weigh a sequence of items together. This is a great feature if ya need a scale with cumulative weighing for recording production runs.
Tare Feature The tare button on the front of the Ranger 7000 can be pressed to "zero out" the weight on the scale. You can then add more weight, and the display will only show the weight of the item you're adding. This sure is useful when ya want to use a separate weighing container or get the weights of separate items.
Stainless Steel Platform This compact bench scale has a durable stainless steel weighing platform to make cleanup a breeze. Stainless steel doesn't scratch easily and keeps its shine without rusting or tarnishing.
Sealed Keypad & Display You won't have to worry about dust and dirt getting stuck under and around the buttons on this compact bench scale...The Ranger 7000 has an easy to clean sealed keypad and display.
Liquid Level Indicator & Adjustable Feet This very handy feature helps you quickly and easily get your scale nice and level. All ya have to do is adjust the feet on the bottom of the scale until the spirit bubble is centered within the level indicator. A level scale is important for getting the most accurate weight readings.
