Touch Key OperationYou won't find any buttons on this digital food scale. The 66100 has, patented, sensor touch technology that lets you simply place your finger on the key you want to operate. You won't have to worry about water damage, gunk getting stuck under the keys, or buttons breaking.
Perfect For Recipes! If you're having a tough time getting consistent recipes, you should try weighing out each ingredient with this Soehnle kitchen scale. When ya weigh what you're putting into your mixes, you have a better chance of your recipes coming out the same each time. And the best part is...no more measuring cups! Just weigh your ingredient, set the scale back to zero, and weigh the next! This kitchen scale can handle over nine pounds of ingredients.
Auto-OffThe SOEHNLE 66100 turns off after about 30 seconds, (two minutes with items on the scale) of inactivity.
Tare FeatureThe tare button on the front of this digital kitchen scale can be pressed to "zero out" the weight on the scale. You can then add more weight, and the display will only show the weight of the items you're adding. This additive weighing feature sure is useful when ya want to use a bowl or tray to weigh your things, or if ya want to get separate weights of multiple items.
Durable, Glass Weighing PlatformThis digital food scale has a white, tempered glass, weighing platform for measuring the weights of food portions, ingredients and other items. Glass platforms are great because, they resist odors and stains and are easy to clean.
5 YEAR MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY!SOEHNLE provides a five year warranty on this digital kitchen scale. So, if ya have a problem with the 66100 within the first five years ya own it, just contact the SOEHNLE warranty center.
Bought this mostly to weigh food portions. It is so well-designed, not just slick looking but easy to use and very accurate. Super price for the quality.
One thing I noticed is that the on/off is located so far from the front feet that the front edge hits the counter when you turn it on or off; slightly annoying. I put two little extra feet in the front corners to stop this. If you do a similar fix, note that the feet are what do the weighing (thank you to engineer husband for figuring this out). So make them out of something squishy and they won't affect operation.
