Full Color Touch Screen Display Ohaus went all out designing this precision balance. The Adventurer has a full color, 4.3 inch, WQVGA graphic touch screen display.
External Calibration To make sure ya keep getting the best weight readings from the Adventurer AX-8201E, it helps to calibrate it from time to time. This precision balance has instructions to make calibrating your Adventurer easy. You'll just need to pick up a few calibration weights (not included) to get the job done.
Fast & Accurate With Magnetic Force Restoration This lab balance is equipped with magnetic force restoration, or electro-magnetic force, to provide super fast, accurate and repeatable measurements.
Does This Thing Count? You bet it does! All ya need to do is weigh a sample amount of pieces, so the AX8201/E can know how much each piece weighs, then start counting. You'll be finished in no time.
Average Piece Weight Before ya start counting your pieces, ya need to let the AX-8201E know how much each piece weighs. Ohaus made this simple by averaging the weight of the pieces ya put on the scale. Just type in how many pieces ya put on the platform, and the Adventurer will average the weights. The bigger your sample is, the more accurate the balance will be when counting your pieces.
Programmable Auto Printing Feature This lab balance will automatically print your data for you! Just tell the AX-8201/E to continuously send data to the printer, to send it at user selectable intervals, when the balance is stable, or to only send it when ya press the print key. That's pretty handy if ya ask me.
Dynamic Weighing The Adventurer AX 8201/E has a really cool dynamic weighing feature. This feature will allow ya to accurately weigh unstable items by calculating the average weight of what's on the platform. Great for animal weighing.
Checkweighing Make sure ya get your weights just right with this scientific balance's check weighing feature. When ya weigh in this mode, you can set weight limits for the stuff you're weighing. So, if your sample weight is too low or too high...the AX-8201/E will sure let ya know.
Percent Weighing his feature will let ya compare the weights of your samples against a predetermined reference weight. This can be helpful with recipe formulation and adjusting batch sizes.
Totalization You can use this accumulation feature to weigh a sequence of items together. This is a great feature if ya need a balance with cumulative weighing for compounding ingredients. It's even okay if your accumulated totals exceed the capacity of the Adventurer.
Density Determination This precision balance has four different ways to determine density. You can determine density for solids more dense than water, solids less dense than water, liquid density, and density for porous materials. All ya have to do is enter a couple of parameters into the balance, the built in density table and mass measurement provides rapid and accurate results. No manual calculations needed.
Display Hold & Peak Hold You can program the Adventurer to hold the last stable weight on the display, or set it to hold the highest weighing value on the display.
RS-232 & USB Ports The Adventurer AX8201/E has both RS232 and USB communication ports built in for easy communication with printers, computers, monitors and more.
Stainless Steel Platform The Adventurer series has a durable stainless steel weighing platform that doesn't scratch easily and will keep its shine without rusting or tarnishing.
Weighing Hook Sometimes the thing ya need to weigh just won't fit on the weighing platform. Now that's a problem for most scales, but not the Adventurer AX8201/E. This precision balance has a weighing hook built right into the bottom. This hook works by pulling on the weighing platform when an item is hanging from it, just like if ya were to put an item on top of the platform. This will come in handy for density determination, gravity calculation, and a lot more.
Tare Feature The tare button on the front of the Adventurer AX 8201E can be pressed to "zero out" the weight on the balance. You can then add more weight, and the display will only show the weight of the item you're adding. This sure is useful when ya want to use a separate weighing container, or get the weights of separate items.
Illuminated Liquid Level Indicator & Adjustable Feet To get the most accurate weight readings from this balance, Ohaus designed the Adventurer with an illuminated liquid level indicator and rotating feet for adjusting the balance. The Adventurer even has a level assist screen to help ya figure out which foot needs adjusting.
2 YEAR MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY! When ya buy the Adventurer AX8201/E, you'll need to head on over to the Ohaus website and register it to receive your two year warranty.
