A & D Newton EJ -123 High Precision Scale
Rating:
I had previously bought the Gem250. Don't waste your time with that one. This model however does fit the bill for my reloading needs. Weighs down to 0.02 grains. Weighing my H-4831sc powder means you can weigh down to an individual kernel for precise powder charges. If you want to shoot accurately @ long ranges you need this scale.

A&D EJ-123
Rating:
Was not satisfied with my first scale purchase, I spoke with Brandon and explained to him my needs for reloading and he recommended the A&D EJ-123. Although more expensive than the first I was willing if the scale worked as he stated. Let me say it is great, easy to calibrate, stays on zero and I can weigh individual grains of powder. No matter where I place the pan on the scale head it weighs the same and does not bounce back and forth. Once I obtain my desired weight I don't have to raise and lower the pan to verify it is accurate. Couldn't be happier thanks once again for the advise and outstanding product.

All I was hoping for
Rating:
I figure this cost me an extra $150 because of my stubbornness. In spite of the mixed reviews on the Gempro 250 I bought one last year. After trying to keep it weighting over the past year it finally died. This unit so far is far superior. I use it for reloading rifle bullets and the repeatability of this scale is great. The % function makes sorting brass quick and easy. The hole in the lid allows me to add one kernel of powder at a time to get right to the load I'm looking for. I'll come back in 6 months or so to report on long term dependability.

Certificate of Calibration
Rating:
When I ordered this scale I asked if it came with an NIST traceable cert of calibration. The sales person said that they did not because they were supplied by serial number so once I received the scale, I just needed to let them know what it was and the cert of calibration could be provided at no additional charge. When I called to get it, the person I spoke with did not seem to know what I was talking about. When I tried to convey it, I thought they got it, but what I was sent was a cert of compliance saying it was manufactured IAW ISO9001 and ISO13485. My question is: how do you sell scales and not know what a cert of calibration is? As a result of this, I have not been able to use the scale at all, it is still stuck in my Quality Department, awaiting a calibration certificate.
