Bought a beautiful 20lb mechanical hanging scale made by PennScale. Unfortunately there was a lot of "play" in the part that the hook hangs onto, and weighing any one thing twice could differ by as much as a whole pound. Also the tare required a screwdriver, which the site didn't specify, and which was not doable for my application (weighing hay for horses, requiring 6 different hay bags and thus 6 "tares" per day). When I called, the customer service was both responsive and super helpful. They put me in touch with the Penn folks directly to make sure I wasn't misunderstanding how to use the scale (I was not) and then they immediately agreed to a return and full refund. If there was one suggestion for improvement I would make its to modernize their website and keep it more up to date. The product table below the product said there was no tare feature - which I didn't believe for a second so I called - and was informed the site must be incorrect, there WAS a tare feature, which is why I felt comfortable purchasing it. But after I received it the customer service rep explained it was their policy to put "no tare" on the site when the taring requires a tool.
