If item arrives Dead On Arrival (DOA), defective, or "not as described":

A 100% refund (including shipping fee) or a replacement will be offered. If you prefer, the item can be exchanged for any item we sell for just the difference in price.

All returned items must be in brand new, unused condition, with all original manufacturer warranty cards, papers, and manufacturer packaging intact. See exceptions below.

Please Note:   We must be notified about a DOA or defective item within 30 days of item's arrival. See exceptions below. If you haven't notified us of a defective item within 30 days of items arrival, you'll need to get your item replaced under the manufacturer's warranty. If your product was forwarded outside the United States we are not responsible for return shipping if your product arrives defective.

Exceptions:   Eight of the brands that we carry... A&D, Adam, Citizen, Detecto, Health o Meter, Ohaus, Penn, and Seca scales... must be returned to the manufacturer. These eight brands can not be returned to us for any reason. If you receive a DOA or defective item from A&D, Adam, Citizen, Detecto, Health o Meter, Ohaus, Penn, or Seca, just call us, and we will contact the manufacturer for you so that they can issue a "prepaid return label" to you.

Special Exception For Adam Scales:
Adam scales can be only be returned for a refund if we are notified of your intent to return within five days of delivery. After that, only replacements will be issued.

Items returned for any reason OTHER THAN DOA:
(IE: you decide you don't need it... you ordered the wrong item... etc...)

  Our site is not set up to track or collect personal information not entered by our customers. Our site is, however, set to generate certain kinds of non-identifying data. We use such data to keep record of visitors to our site and so forth. This information is used for internal purposes to help us provide a better shopping experience for you.
