Removable Stainless Steel PlatformThe Detecto PS4 has a durable stainless steel weighing platform that is removable to make cleanup a breeze. Stainless steel is great because it doesn't scratch easily and keeps its shine without rusting or tarnishing.

Easy To Clean DesignDetecto designed this portion control scale to be easy to care for. The stainless steel platform comes off for washing and the stainless steel body and membrane keypad are easy to wipe down after use.

Tare FeatureThe tare button on the Detecto PS4 can be pressed to "zero set" the weight on the scale. You can then add more weight, and the display will only show the weight of what you're adding. This sure does come in handy if you want to use a tray or the optional ice cream cone holder.

I am being a little hash with the rating since we bought the PS4 based on the statement "Detecto manufactures and markets a complete line of quality weighing products and systems. Cardinal/Detecto’s factory and headquarters is located in Webb City, Missouri, USA with distributors in over 110 countries". This scale was made in China. We returned the product immediately.
Disappointed that we lost Shipping cost (2x) and a restocking fee based on the disingenuous website story. If you have a mixture of manufacturing locations then each item should have it's manufacturing location identified.

After using scale's of lesser quality and getting different readings for the same weight(frustrating), it is a relief to own a reliable scale that gives consistent readings of the same weight fast and accurate as the Detecto PS4 does well with no drift.
