Vibra® Tuning Fork Sensor The tuning fork sensor in this analytical balance is extremely stable and minimally affected by temperature. The HT-224 delivers maximum performance within minutes of start up, while balances with traditional strain gauge and electromagnetic load cells need up to an hour to warm up before use. The tuning fork sensor is also more resistant to shock than other load cell types leaving you with a balance that is engineered for durability, accuracy and longevity.
Protective, Anti-Static Draft Shield When you're weighing with analytical balances like this one, even the tiniest breeze can interfere with weight readings. This Intelligent Weigh balance comes with a durable windscreen to keep out those pesky drafts. Oh, and don't worry, the HT makes it easy to put your items on, or take them off, the platform. The top and sides slide all the way back.
RS232 Interface The HT-224 has an RS232 port built right in. This is important if you want to send your weight readings to an external source like a computer or printer.
Does This Thing Count? You bet it does! All you need to do is weigh a sample amount of pieces, so the HT224 can know how much each piece weighs, then start counting. You'll be finished in no time.
Percent Weighing This feature will let you compare the weights of your samples against a predetermined reference weight. This can be helpful with recipe formulation and adjusting batch sizes.
Density Determination This lab balance can determine the density of your product. All you have to do is enter a couple of parameters into the balance, the built in density feature provides rapid and accurate results. No manual calculations needed.
Checkweighing Make sure you get your weights just right with this scientific balance's check weighing feature. When you weigh in this mode, you can set weight limits for the stuff you're weighing. So, if your sample weight is too low or too high...the HT-224 will sure let you know.
Totalization You can use this accumulation feature to weigh a sequence of items together. This is a great feature if you need a balance with cumulative weighing for recording production runs.
Weighing Hook Sometimes the thing you need to weigh just won't fit on the weighing platform. Now that's a problem for most balances, but not the HT. This analytical balance has a weighing hook built right into the bottom. This hook works by pulling on the weighing platform when an item is hanging from it, just like if you were to put an item on top of the platform. This will come in handy for density determination, gravity calculation, and a lot more.
Tare Feature The tare button on this analytical balance can be pressed to "zero out" the weight that is on the platform. You can then add more weight and the balance will only display the weights of the items you're adding...this sure is useful.
Liquid Level Indicator & Adjustable Feet This very handy feature helps you quickly and easily get your balance nice and level. All you have to do is adjust the feet on the bottom of the HT-224 until the spirit bubble is centered within the level indicator. A level analytical balance is important for getting the most accurate weight readings.
Sealed Keypad You won't have to worry about dust and dirt getting stuck under and around the buttons on this analytical balance... The HT224 has an easy to clean sealed keypad.
Easy Calibration You'll have no problem at all calibrating this laboratory balance. You'll just need to pick up the proper calibration weight to get the job done.
Stainless Steel Platform The HT has a durable stainless steel weighing platform that doesn't scratch easily and will keep its shine without rusting or tarnishing.
