Product Details

Class III NTEP Approved Legal For Trade The National Conference on Weights and Measures certifies the XM Legal for Trade with Certificate of Conformance Number 11-106. You can count on getting accurate readings time after time.

Rechargeable With Up To 150 Hours Of Battery LifeYou won't have to worry about searching high and low for a wall outlet to plug the XM-30 into. This portable scale has an internal rechargeable battery that will give you up to 150 hours of use on a single charge.

Tare Feature The tare button on this NTEP approved portable bench scale can be pressed to "zero out" the weight that is on the platform. You can then add more weight and the scale will only display the weights of the items you're adding...this sure is useful.

Adjustable Anti-Slip FeetThis very handy feature helps you quickly and easily get your scale nice and level. All ya have to do is adjust the feet on the bottom of the scale until it becomes level. A level scale is important for getting the most accurate weight readings.

Sealed KeypadYou won't have to worry about dust and dirt getting stuck under and around the buttons on this bench scale... The XM-30 has an easy to clean sealed keypad.

Energy Saving Auto-OffIf you've ever had the batteries in something run out because you forgot to turn it off, you'll realize what a blessing this feature is. Intelligent-Weigh designed this NTEP scale to turn off automatically after a few moments of inactivity.

1 YEAR MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY! Intelligent Weighing Technology warrants this NTEP scale free from defects in material and workmanship for the first year from the date of shipment.

Question
I purchased this scale awhile back. Is there any way to make the scale stay on longer? It only stays on for roughly 20 seconds and then it shuts off and we have to restart it and retare it all the time. I read through the manual but didn't find anything specific about how to make it stay on longer.

We use this scale for weighing bulk fasteners. So far it has held up well, and we have had no issues with operation.

Screen is misleading. Controls are difficult to use.

Shipping: My order arrive quickly. I was disappointed with the excess shipping materials (a box within a box), & use of styrofoam peanuts (not only are they messy, but they are HORRIBLE for the environment).

Scale: The screen shows "g" for grams, however, the scale does not actually weigh in grams. The specs do not list grams in the available weight modes, so, perhaps I should have realized this. I thought the fact that it was on the screen must mean that it measures that way, but apparently, they used a screen from a different model. I make medicinal tea blends in bulk by hand. I need a scale that measures in grams and lbs with a max of 60 lb & is certified in order to meet the standards required to certify a home kitchen. I thought this was the answer. However, now I must use Kg & hold the "mode" button down to read to 3rd decimal place, which only shows for about 5 sec. If you're adjusting weight, this method is incredibly cumbersome. Furthermore, when measuring this way, it is VERY easy to accidentally hit the tare button while switching measurement modes while weighing & zero out your weight before you're ready.

Old Will Knott Scales suggested exchanging the scale for a $3000 version... That cost is prohibitive. Doesn't feel like there's a winning solution in this.
