SmartHeat™ Temperature Limiter & Built-In Overheating Protection You can set a temperature limit for this hotplate to go no higher than your needs. In addition, the Guardian 7000 hotplates are continuously monitored by two independent systems that will shut off the heating element before overheating occurs.

Safe Operation With SmartPresence™ The Guardian e-G71HS10C is equipped with a sensor under the unit that can detect the presence of a user. This programmable feature will automatically turn off the heating element when unit is unattended for a user-selectable amount of time.

Chemical Resistant SmartHousing™ Guardian 7000 hotplates also have specially designed, chemical resistant housing that channels spills away from internal components and remains cool to the touch even while the ceramic heat plate is active.

SmartRate™ Heating & Stirring This feature allows you to choose how quickly the heater and stirrer increase heat and speed. Excellent for safeguarding sensitive applications by giving you precise control of ramp rates.

Memory For Up To Five Customizable Heating & Stirring Programs Save time by creating custom heating and stirring programs for the Guardian to run. These series of instructions control temperature and speed with up to five timer controlled steps. Once created on a PC, programs can be imported and stored in the Guardian for easy recall.

Hardened Glass Front Panel With Temperature, Speed & Time Display Viewable from a distance, the glass front control panel shows all the details of what's going on with bright numbers and intuitive icons including a hot top indicator that remains visible even while the power switch is off.
