Product Details

One Second Stabilization Time This portable balance is designed to give you accurate weight readings, fast. The SPX621 Scout stabilizes in one second to improve operator efficiency and productivity.

Percent Weighing This feature will let ya compare the weights of your samples against a predetermined reference weight. This can be helpful with recipe formulation and adjusting batch sizes.

Does This Thing Count? You bet it does! All ya need to do is weigh a sample amount of pieces, so the SPX 621 can know how much each piece weighs, then start counting. You'll be finished in no time.

Average Piece Weight Before ya start counting your pieces, ya need to let the SPX-621 know how much each piece weighs. Ohaus made this simple by averaging the weight of the pieces ya put on the platform. Just type in how many pieces ya put on the platform, and the SPX621 will average the weights. The bigger your sample is, the more accurate the Scout will be when counting your pieces.

Checkweighing Make sure ya get your weights just right with this balance's check weight feature. When ya weigh in this mode, you can set weight limits for the stuff you're weighing. So, if your sample weight is too low or too high, the SPX-621 will surely let ya know.

Totalization You can use this accumulation feature to weigh a sequence of items together. This is a great feature if ya need a balance with cumulative weighing for compounding ingredients. It's even okay if your accumulated totals exceed the capacity of the Scout.

Display Hold & Peak Hold You can program the Scout to hold the last stable weight on the display, or set it to hold the highest weight value of the session on the display.

Stainless Steel Platform The Scout series has a durable stainless steel weighing platform that doesn't scratch easily and will keep its shine without rusting or tarnishing.

Weighing Hook Sometimes the thing ya need to weigh just won't fit on the weighing platform. Now that's a problem for most scales, but not the SPX 621 Scout. This precision balance has a weighing hook built right into the bottom. This will come in handy for density determination, gravity calculation, and a lot more.

Integrated Transportation LockIf ya plan to tote this thing around quite a bit, you'll be glad to find an integrated shipping lock right on the bottom of the balance. This lock will help prevent accidental overload and damage to your scale.

Menu & Calibration Lock Once ya have all your settings just the way ya want them you can lock the setup menu with a physical switch located on the bottom of the Scout. This will keep anyone else from changing any settings or performing calibration.

Liquid Level Indicator & Adjustable Feet This very handy feature helps ya quickly and easily get your balance nice and level. All ya have to do is adjust the feet on the bottom of the SPX-621 until the spirit bubble is centered within the level indicator. A level precision balance is important for getting the most accurate weight readings.

Overload Protection The Scout SPX was designed to withstand accidental overload up to 10 times the capacity of the balance. This alongside the high strength stainless steel pan and impact resistant pan support make for a long lasting, durable balance you can count on.

Programmable Auto-Off If you've ever had your scale turn off on ya in the middle of important measurements, you'll realize what a blessing this feature is. You can program the Scout SPX 621 to turn off automatically, or to stay on until ya turn it off yourself.

Programmable Backlit LCD You can program the backlight for the Scout SPX, too. If ya work in dim environments, you can set the backlight to always on, or to turn on when ya press a button or change the weight on the scale. If ya don't really need a backlight at all, just set it to off. No unnecessary power use here.

Easy Calibration You'll have no problem at all calibrating this portable balance. You'll just need to pick up a 300 gram weight, (not included), to perform span calibration. If ya want to calibrate the linearity of the balance, too, you'll need to pick up a 600 gram calibration weight. That one is not included, either.

Tare Feature The tare button on the front of the Ohaus Scout SPX can be pressed to "zero out" the weight on the balance. You can then add more weight, and the display will only show the weight of the item you're adding. This sure is useful when ya want to use a separate weighing container, or get the weights of separate items.

2 YEAR MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY! When ya buy the Ohaus SPX621 Scout, you'll need to head on over to the Ohaus website and register it to receive your two year warranty.
