I normally do not take the time to write product reviews. But I will make an exception for this one. This scale appears to be a durable, excellent product that will meet the needs of our hunting club for a long time. We considered purchasing some digital scales to weigh our deer, but decided that a mechanical pull type spring scale would last longer and better withstand the outdoor elements it would be exposed to. So far, we have been very satisfied with this product. However, the main reason I am writing this review is to compliment the excellent service response I received on this purchase. After placing my order, I received confirmation the same day that my order was being processed and shipped. I received the order within a few days. This is the type of experience that will prompt me to return to "Old Will Knots Scales" for future purchases.

The item I bought was just what I needed. The scale is very nice and worked exactly as it should.

I use the scale in conjunction with my davit type dingy boat lift (putting the scale between the davit lifting hook and the boat sling) to determine how heavy a boat is before I fully commit to lifting and launching a boat I am not sure of. I don't want to overload and collapse my davit crane. In this capacity, the scale performs excellently, giving me a weight readout that gets me to within +/-5 lbs which is good enough.

Old timer here and have had many scales over years, I do have to say this Weston Sportsman Scale is high quality, if you are looking for something well made this is it.
