Could not be more pleased with its performance.

I use this scale strictly for reloading pistol caliber cartridges and am more than pleased with its performance. This scale outperforms my digital and two beam scales I’ve used for years. It dampens more quickly (almost instantly) and gives more consistent readings than any of the others. Although I prefer the extreme accuracy it provides +or- 0.05gn for reloading, it is really better suited for rifle cartridges. If you’re interested in how I reload read further.

The following method I use to accurately measure powder from any powder measure is as follows:

(1) When you receive the scale the dish is packed separately. Upon contacting Old Will Knott Scales I was assured the pressure required to press the dish onto the scale was safe.

(2) Do not use the plastic grain/gem bowl supplied as it is not static free (the powder will stick to it).

(3) When making plus or minus adjustments to the powder measure, cycle it a few times so the powder has a chance to settle.

(4) Size and prime a case.

(5) Turn on the scale and set it to read in grains.

(6) Zero that case on the scale.

(7) Charge the case from your powder measure (hopper).

(8) Weigh the case. The weight of the powder is now displayed.

(9) Do not return the powder to the hopper yet. Empty the powder into a container and tap the empty case onto the loading bench until it is clear of any residual powder.

(10) Using the same case, repeat this process several times with the same powder charge setting until you’re satisfied.

(11) Return the container of powder to the hopper.

Got this for weight sorting .22 cal air rifle pellets. Very pleased with it. Repeatable to 0.01 grains every single time.

I Use this scale to measure powder charges for reloading. Very impressed!!! It is very accurate and am able to trickle powder into the pan. Much better than any reloading scale I have tried. Also quite pleased with the service provided by Old Will Knott Scales. Received the scale a few days after ordering.

Great For Reloading

This scale is quite accurate when it comes to reloading and it's sensitive enough to trickle powder with, too! I've checked my loads with a balance beam scale and Hornady Digital scale and they are all dead on loads. When I trickle the powder, so far Varget, I'll stop about.05 Grains from where I want to be, like 25.55, trying to be at 25.60. Then I pick up the load and replace it and after it settles it'll be right at 26.00 grains, but I mean what's .05 grains? I don't know any Redding, RCBS, Dillon, Hornady, etc scale that has a readability of .05 grains. That's outstanding! Great scale for the money, and it may not feel heavy, and made from steel, but it's light, compact, and dang accurate, so five stars!
