Energy Saving Programmable Backlit Display You can optimize both the brightness and auto off time for the PR124 display. Not only can you choose between high, medium, and low brightness levels, but you can also set the backlight to turn off after 10, 20, or 30 minutes of inactivity. You can also set the backlight to stay on until you turn the balance off.
Adjustable Environmental Filter You can choose how quickly you'd like your PR balance to stabilize. Select from: Faster stabilization time with less stability; Normal stabilization time with normal stability; Slower stabilization time with more stability.
Liquid Level Indicator & Adjustable Feet This very handy feature helps you quickly and easily get your balance nice and level. All you have to do is adjust the feet on the bottom of the PR124 until the spirit bubble is centered within the level indicator. A level balance is important for getting the most accurate weight readings.
RS-232 Interface The PR124 has an RS232 communication port built in for easy communication with printers, computers, monitors and more.
Does This Thing Count? You bet it does! All you need to do is weigh a sample amount of pieces, so the PR 124 can know how much each piece weighs, then start counting. You'll be finished in no time.
Average Piece Weight (APW) Optimization Before you start counting your pieces, you need to let the PR-124 know how much each piece weighs. Ohaus made this simple by averaging the weight of the pieces you put on the scale. Just type in how many pieces you put on the platform, and the PR will average the weights. The bigger your sample is, the more accurate the balance will be when counting your pieces.
Percent Weighing This feature will let you compare the weights of your samples against a predetermined reference weight. This can be helpful with recipe formulation and adjusting batch sizes.
Below Balance Weighing Hook The PR124 analytical balance has a weighing hook built right into the base. This below balance weighing hook will come in handy for density determination, gravity calculation, and a lot more.
Tare and Auto Tare The tare button on the front of the PR 124 can be pressed to "zero out" the weight on the balance. You can then add more weight, and the display will only show the weight of the item you're adding. This sure is useful when you want to use a separate weighing container, or get the weights of separate items. The Ohaus PR balances also have an optional auto tare setting that will deem the first weight placed on the platform as a container.
InCal™ Internal Calibration The PR124 uses an internal mass to perform calibration, but if you prefer to calibrate the balance manually, you can still do that too.
Protective Glass Draft ShieldWhen you're weighing with analytical balances like this one, even the tiniest breeze can interfere with weight readings. This Ohaus balance comes with a durable windscreen to keep out those pesky drafts. Oh, and don't worry, the PR makes it easy to put your items on, or take them off, the platform. The top and sides slide all the way back.
